Description
This compatible screen replaces the display panel of the 2017 iMac 27-inch A1419. It is used to restore a clear image when the current panel is cracked, marked with spots, or no longer lights up properly. It is a third-party manufactured part, designed to fit the model indicated.
Before you start, switch off the computer, unplug it and let it cool down. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, to avoid discharges onto the components. Screens are fragile: handle them by the edges and avoid any pressure on the panel. Disconnect the internal battery before touching the ribbon cables, and do not use any metal tools near the connectors.
After fitting, check the operation before fully closing the chassis: image, brightness, absence of bands or dark areas. If you notice a fault, reconnect and check the cables before reaching a conclusion.
