Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch glass and display of the Insta360 X4 when they are cracked, scratched or no longer respond correctly. It lets you view images again, navigate the menus and use the camera in everyday life. This is a third-party part designed to fit the X4 model.
Before dismantling, switch the camera off completely and remove the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable screwdriver and a plastic spudger to avoid scratching the casing. The ribbon cables are fragile: disconnect them carefully, without pulling on the cables. An electrostatic discharge can damage the electronics, so earth yourself by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
After reassembly, check that the screen turns on, that the touch responds across the whole surface and that the camera starts normally. If the battery was disconnected, recharge it gradually, without excessive heat. A swollen or damaged battery must never be used, punctured or bent.
