Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch glass and display panel of the iPad 3 (2012). It is used to restore the display and touch responsiveness when the current part is cracked, broken or no longer responds properly. It notably resolves partial display faults, unresponsive touch zones and lines or spots on the screen.
Before you begin, switch the tablet off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean, clear surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and keep the small screws in a tray so they do not get lost. Gently warm the adhesive around the edge with a heat gun on a moderate setting, never overheating it. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and stop using the device if the battery is swollen.
After assembly, check the display, brightness and touch across the whole surface before closing the device for good. Then carry out a few full charge cycles to stabilise operation. If the screen still shows a fault, reassemble the tablet and check the connectors.
