Description
This replacement screen is a compatible part designed for the iPad 6 (2018). It forms the visible, touch-sensitive part of the tablet: it displays the image and passes your gestures on to the system. It should be replaced when it is cracked or broken, or when the display shows black areas, lines, distorted colours or faulty touch response.
Before you begin, switch the tablet off completely and work on a clean, well-lit, clear surface. Prepare suitable tools, such as a set of precision screwdrivers, suction cups and a plastic opening tool. To avoid any risk, disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, and avoid electrostatic discharge by earthing yourself on a grounded metal surface. Do not puncture, bend or force the lithium battery.
After fitting, connect the tablet and let it charge through several full cycles before heavy use. Check the display, brightness, touch response across the whole surface and the correct operation of the sensors. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not charge it.
