This replacement screen is a compatible part for the iPhone 5. It combines the touch glass and the display panel, the two elements that let you see the image and control the phone. It is used to replace a cracked or broken screen, a faulty display, or a touch layer that no longer responds properly.
Before you start, switch the device off, work on a clean, well-lit surface, and keep the small screws in a dedicated compartment. Avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using the device.
After fitting, check the display, the brightness, the touch response across the whole surface, the front camera, the proximity sensor and the speaker. Keep moderate warmth during testing. If anything unusual appears, check the connectors and that the ribbon cables are properly seated before continuing.
