Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch panel and display of the iPhone 8 Plus when they are cracked, scratched or no longer respond correctly to touch. It restores a readable image and a working touch surface, without changing the rest of the phone. It is a part made by a third party, of the compatible type, suited to the iPhone 8 Plus model.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace free of dust. Use tools suited to opening a smartphone, warm the edges gently to loosen the adhesive, and avoid excessive heat. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables to avoid any short circuit. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object.
Once assembly is complete, check the display, the brightness, the touch across the whole surface and the proximity sensor during a call. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and never puncture or bend it. Compatible parts may show slight differences in tint or brightness compared with the current part; it is normal to notice them.
