Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch panel and display of the Fitbit Charge 5 smartwatch. It restores screen legibility when the display is cracked, scratched, blackened or no longer responds to touch. It is a part made by a third party, designed to fit the Fitbit Charge 5 model.
Before you start, switch off the watch and prepare a clean, well-lit area free of dust. Use a suitable tool to open the case without forcing it and note the position of the screws. Avoid static electricity by working on an antistatic surface and regularly touching a metal ground. If the battery is connected to the screen by a ribbon cable, disconnect it before any handling. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using the watch and do not attempt to repair it.
After fitting, check that the display and touch function correctly before closing the case completely. Check the water resistance by tightening the seals properly and avoid excessive heat during the repair. Carry out the first charges carefully, then observe the watch's behaviour for a few days.
