Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch panel of the Surface Pro 4 (2015) when the current screen is cracked, stained, or no longer responds correctly to touch. It ensures image display and gesture recognition, like the current part of the model. It is manufactured by a third party and is an economical solution for repairing your tablet without replacing it.
Before you begin, switch off the tablet completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a suitable screwdriver and suction cups or a flat tool to separate the chassis. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and avoid bending or forcing the connectors. Also remember to discharge your static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface.
Once assembly is complete, check the display, brightness and touch response across several areas of the screen before permanently closing the casing. If the screen shows a fault, a wrongly connected cable is often the cause. Heat moderately if you need to remove glued glass, and never leave a swollen battery in service.
