Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch digitiser and display of the Surface Pro 5 (2017) when the current part is cracked, warped or no longer responds properly to touch. It is a replacement part made by a third party, designed to fit the model indicated.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely, unplug the charger and place the device on a flat, clean surface. Work in a well-lit area, away from static electricity, wearing an anti-static wrist strap if possible. Warm the edges of the glass gently with a hairdryer on a moderate heat setting to soften the adhesive. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never try to puncture or bend the lithium battery.
After fitting, check the screen's operation, touch response across the whole surface and brightness before closing the device fully. If the battery was disconnected, let it go through a few full charge cycles for proper power management. If the battery is swollen, stop using it.
