Description
This compatible screen replaces the damaged touch display of a Surface Pro 6 (2018). It is used to restore the display when the glass is cracked, when the image shows lines, spots or black areas, or when touch no longer responds properly. It is a part made by a third party, designed to fit this tablet model.
Before fitting, switch the tablet off completely and unplug it from the mains. Work on a flat, clean surface with suitable tools to open the chassis without forcing it. Gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive, then lift it carefully. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and avoid any bending or pressure on the lithium battery. A swollen battery must no longer be used.
After replacement, reconnect the battery then check the display, brightness and touch response before closing the device completely. If the tablet charges, let it complete a few full charge cycles to confirm it works correctly. Handle the part with care to limit electrostatic discharge.
