Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch digitiser and current display panel on a Nexus 5. It restores the picture and touch when the glass is cracked, the display shows lines, spots or black areas, or the touch no longer responds properly. It is a third-party part, designed to fit the model indicated.
Before fitting, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it, to avoid any risk of a short circuit. Work on a clean, flat surface with a suitable tool to open the casing without forcing it. Handle the screen by its edges, protected from static electricity, and avoid bending the ribbon cables or pulling them by the cable.
After replacement, reconnect the battery, then check the display, the touch across the whole surface and the operation of the buttons and sensor. If a fault appears, reopen the device to check the connectors before concluding. A swollen battery must never be used and must not be punctured or bent.
