Before you start, switch off the phone, gather a small screwdriver suited to the job, a suction cup and a flat tool, and work on a clean, well-lit surface. To avoid electrostatic discharge, touch an earthed metal surface regularly.
Before closing the phone, disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and check that each connector is properly seated. Switch the device on to check the display, brightness and touch across the whole surface. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and stop using the device if the battery is swollen.
