Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch panel and display of a damaged OnePlus 5. It restores a sharp image and a responsive touch area when the glass is cracked, the display shows black areas or lines, or the touchscreen no longer responds properly.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and work on a clean, flat surface, preferably with an anti-static mat. Gently warm the edges of the screen with a hairdryer on a moderate heat setting to loosen the adhesive, without overheating the device. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables to avoid any short circuit.
Once the fitting is finished, check the operation before fully closing the casing: brightness, colours, touch zones and proximity sensor. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it carefully. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and stop using any device whose battery is swollen.
