Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before removing the ribbon cables. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and avoid forcing the connectors. Handle the screen by its edges and protect yourself against static electricity. Moderate heat is enough to loosen the adhesive; never bring too strong a heat source close to the battery.
After fitting, check the display operation, the brightness, the touch across the whole surface and the sensors near the screen before closing the device for good. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it with care. A swollen or damaged battery must never be used.
