Before you start, switch the phone off completely and work on a clean, flat surface. Use suitable tools to open the device and avoid excessive force on the connectors. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and protect yourself against static electricity. If the battery is swollen, do not attempt to remove it and never puncture or bend it.
After assembly, check the touch response across the whole surface, the brightness, the colours and the absence of dead pixels before closing the device. During the first few days, monitor the phone's temperature: moderate warmth is normal, excessive heat is not.
