Description
This replacement screen is designed for the 38 mm Apple Watch Series 1. It replaces the glass and display panel when these are cracked, scratched or no longer respond correctly to touch. It is a compatible premium part, made by a high-end third-party manufacturer with OLED screens. Its appearance is intended to be close to that of the original part, with good colour reproduction and comfortable brightness for everyday use.
Before you begin, switch the watch off completely and remove it from the strap. Work on a clean, flat surface, protected from dust, and avoid excessive heat so as not to damage the lithium battery. Do not puncture, bend or apply pressure to the battery. If it appears swollen, stop using the watch. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object.
After fitting, check the touch response across the whole surface, the display for dead pixels and the correct operation of the sensors. For a replaced battery, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so the system can adapt. If in doubt, take the time to check each connection before closing the case.
