Before you start, switch the watch off, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, and work with suitable tools. Work without forcing anything, at room temperature, and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface.
After fitting, switch the watch on and check the display, brightness and touch response across the whole surface before closing it up. If the watch battery is swollen, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables.
