Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch panel and display of the Series 5 watch (40 mm) when the current part is cracked, scratched or no longer responds properly to touch. It restores a sharp image and smooth interaction with apps and watch faces.
To carry out the fitting successfully, switch off the watch and place it on a clean, stable surface. Work in a well-lit area with a suitable screwdriver and a suction cup or plastic opening tool. Avoid static electricity: touch an earthed metal surface before handling the components. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using it.
Once the part is installed, check the touch response across the whole surface, the brightness and the absence of dead pixels before closing up. Then reassemble the casing carefully and charge the watch to check its overall operation.
