Description
This replacement display is designed for the Series 5 in the 40 mm size. It is used to replace the touch panel and screen when they are cracked, scratched, black or no longer respond correctly to touch. It is a compatible premium part, made by a high-end third-party manufacturer with an OLED panel. Its display quality is close to the current part, for similar everyday use.
Before you start, switch the watch off completely and work on a clean, flat surface free of dust. Protect yourself against static electricity and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. A lithium battery must never be punctured, bent or heated. If it is swollen, do not try to power it on and stop using it.
Once the replacement is done, check the display operation, the touch response and the absence of dead zones across the whole surface. Then carry out a few full charge cycles to stabilise the battery, and check the watch again under normal conditions of use.
