Description
This compatible screen replaces the touch panel and display of your Redmi Note 8. It restores the image and touch responsiveness when the current part is cracked, scratched, stained or no longer responds properly. It suits the most common display faults: broken glass, black areas, coloured lines or faulty touch.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use suitable tools to open the device without forcing it. Gently warm the edges with a heat gun on a moderate setting to release the adhesive softly. Keep the screws in a precise order so you can find them again easily.
After fitting, check the display, brightness, touch and sensors before closing the casing for good. If the battery was disconnected, carry out a few full charge cycles to stabilise the whole assembly. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
