Description
The internal speaker, also called the earpiece, is the small component that plays your caller's voice during a call. It sits in the upper part of the device, near the front. For the Moto E5 Plus (XT1924 / 2018), this compatible part lets you replace a faulty earpiece.
A worn or damaged earpiece often shows up as a muffled voice, a crackling sound or no sound at all during calls. The sound can also be weak or distorted. Replacing this part restores clear listening, provided the problem really comes from the earpiece and not from another component.
Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface and use an anti-static wrist strap if possible. Take care with the ribbon cables, which are fragile. After fitting, test the sound during a call and during media playback, then check the seal of the gasket if your model has one. Reconnect the battery only once everything is properly reassembled.
