Description
The internal speaker, also called the earpiece, is the small speaker located at the top of the screen of One Macro (XT2016 / 2019). It lets you hear the voice of the person you are speaking to during a phone call. When it is faulty, you usually notice a weak, muffled or missing sound during calls, while the main speaker and the ringtone still work.
This part is original: it matches the manufacturer's quality or is an official Service Pack part. Its sound and operation are identical to those of a new part. Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery when the instructions say so, then work on a clean, flat surface. Use suitable tools, do not force the ribbon cables or connectors, and protect yourself from static electricity with an anti-static wrist strap or by touching an earthed metal surface.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the earpiece during a call or with an audio test app. Also check the microphone and the proximity sensor. If the battery was disconnected, let it go through a few full charge cycles to regain stable operation. Never puncture or bend the battery, and stop using any device whose battery is swollen.
