Description
The internal speaker, also called the earpiece, is the small component that plays your caller's voice during a phone call. On the OnePlus 5, it sits at the top of the device, near the screen. This replacement part is used to repair an earpiece that no longer works, crackles, is too quiet, or produces no sound at all during calls.
This part is compatible with the OnePlus 5. It is made by a third party, which makes it an economical solution to get your device back in working order. Before you start, switch the OnePlus 5 off completely, work on a clean surface and use suitable tools. To limit risks, disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and avoid excessive heat. Discharging static electricity by touching a metal object before you begin is also advised.
After fitting, check the sound during a test call, then make sure the volume is correct and that the microphone still works. If the battery was disconnected, carry out a few full charge cycles so it can return to normal operation. Never puncture the battery and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
