Description
This internal speaker, also called the earpiece, is the small component that plays your caller's voice during a phone call. It sits in the upper part of the device, near the screen. For the Optimus G, it restores clear sound during calls when the audio in the device's earpiece is faint, crackling or silent.
Reference E970 is a compatible part made by a third party. It replaces the existing component without changing the general operation of the Optimus G. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if your model allows it, and work on a clean surface with a suitable screwdriver. Avoid excessive heat and use protection against static electricity.
After fitting, switch the device back on and make a test call to check the volume and clarity of the sound. Also check that the proximity sensor and the screen work properly. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and never puncture it.
