Description
The OnePlus 5 loudspeaker (Ref. A5000) is the component that carries your device's sound: ringtones, music, videos and speakerphone calls. When it is damaged, the sound can become faint, crackling, distorted or inaudible, especially at high volume. This compatible part lets you replace the faulty element without touching the rest of the phone, provided the fitting is carried out properly.
Before you start, switch the device off and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface with suitable tools, and use an anti-static wrist strap to protect the components. Note the position of the screws and connectors, and handle the ribbon cables gently so they do not tear. A swollen or damaged battery must never be used or punctured.
Once reassembly is complete, check the sound by playing ringtones, music and a test call at different volume levels. Also check the seals if your model has any. If the result is not satisfactory, recheck the connection before concluding that the part is faulty.
