Description
This speaker is designed for the OnePlus 5T. It is an internal audio component that plays sound during calls, notifications, music and videos. When it fails, you often notice muffled, crackling or missing sound, sometimes a voice that is inaudible during a call, or vibrations without sound.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It replaces the current part in the OnePlus 5T and is an affordable option for a do-it-yourself repair. Before you start, switch the device off completely, disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it, and work on a clean surface with suitable tools. Avoid excessive heat and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object.
After fitting, check the sound during playback, during a call and with the main speaker, then make sure the connector is properly clicked in and no ribbon cable is pinched. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it carefully. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and stop using a device whose battery is swollen.
