Description
The Pixel 8a speaker is the small part that delivers your device's sound: ringtones, music, videos and loudspeaker calls. When it is worn, dirty or damaged, the sound becomes faint, crackling or distorted. This compatible part replaces the current one to restore clear sound, for a do-it-yourself repair.
This compatible part is made by a third party. It is designed to fit the Pixel 8a model and works with the same fitting logic as the current part. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, dry surface. Use a suitable tool and an anti-static tweezer to avoid discharging static electricity onto the circuits.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the sound at several volume levels, for ringtones as well as calls. Check that no crackling remains and that the cables are not pinched. If the battery was disconnected, let the device charge, then carry out a few full charge cycles to stabilise its operation. Never puncture the battery, do not bend it, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
