Description
This kit contains screws compatible with the iPhone 12 mini. They are used to fix the various internal and external components of the device, in particular when replacing a part such as the screen, the battery or the rear cover. A poorly fitting or damaged screw can prevent the phone from closing properly, cause play, or damage the chassis thread. This kit therefore lets you refit the fixings cleanly after a repair.
Before you start, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, with an anti-static mat if possible. Use a screwdriver suited to the size of the screw heads, to avoid damaging them. Sort the screws in the order you removed them, for example in a small tray or on a sheet of paper, so you can put them back in the right place. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend a lithium battery.
Once assembly is complete, check that each screw is tight without forcing it, then make sure the phone closes without any play. Switch the device on to test its operation. If the battery has been replaced, carry out a few full charge cycles to let the system adapt. If the battery is swollen, stop using the phone.
