Description
This screw kit is designed for the iPhone 12 Pro. It brings together the screws that hold the chassis, the motherboard, the battery and the various internal modules of the device. During a repair, it lets you reassemble the phone with fixings suited to each position, without forcing or damaging the threads.
This kit is mainly used when replacing a screen, a battery, a connector or a camera. Screws of different lengths must not be swapped: a screw that is too long can damage a ribbon cable or the board, while one that is too short will not hold properly. It is therefore useful to keep the current part in view and to place the screws in the order of disassembly, for example on a magnetic mat.
Before you start, prepare a suitable screwdriver, a tray for the screws and a clean, well-lit workspace. Disconnect the battery before touching any ribbon cables, and avoid static electricity by working on a non-conductive surface. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen. After assembly, check that each screw is tight and test the device before closing it up completely.
