Description
This kit contains screws compatible with the iPhone Air, in a light gold finish. They are used to secure the internal components and the device's covers. During a repair, screws can sometimes be lost, damaged or not tightened properly; having a complete set lets you close the device neatly and replace any missing or damaged screws.
Before you start, prepare a clean, well-lit work surface, with a mat or tray to keep the screws in the order you removed them. Use a screwdriver suited to the size of the screws to avoid damaging them. Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before touching any flex cables. Avoid static electricity by regularly discharging yourself on an earthed metal surface.
Once reassembly is complete, check that each screw turns without forcing and that the cover does not move. Do not overtighten. If a part does not fit properly, unscrew and recheck before switching the device back on.
Tips
- Keep the screws in the order you removed them so they go back in the right place
- Use a suitable screwdriver so you do not damage the screw heads
- Disconnect the battery before any work on the flex cables
- Do not overtighten to avoid cracking the casing
- Check that the cover is firmly fixed before powering the device back on
