Description
The SIM card reader is the small component that holds the SIM card of your Galaxy Note 4 and connects it to the motherboard. Without it, the device cannot read the card, which shows up as a "No SIM card" message, a loss of network or an inability to make calls and use mobile data. This part can be damaged by repeated insertions, a badly positioned card or a knock to the tray.
This version is a compatible part, made by a third party: it performs the same function as the original part, but it is not identical to it. Before you start, switch off the device, remove the case and disconnect the battery when the ribbon cable requires it. Work on a clean surface, away from static electricity, and use a fine tool to disconnect the connectors without forcing them.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, switch the phone on and check that the SIM card is recognised, that the network appears and that calls go through. If the device overheats abnormally or a battery swells, stop immediately and do not use it any further.
