Description
The SIM card reader is the small connector that holds the SIM card of your One Macro (XT2016 / 2019) and links it to the device's circuitry. When it is worn or damaged, the phone may stop detecting the card, display a no SIM message or lose the network intermittently. This component is usually accessible inside the phone, on the motherboard or on a small connecting ribbon.
The part offered is a compatible version made by a third party. It uses the same location and the same operating principle as the original part, but we cannot guarantee that it is identical in every respect. Before you start, switch the device off, remove the battery if it is removable and work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible. Handle the connectors carefully, without forcing them, and avoid excessive heat when desoldering.
After fitting, reinsert the battery, switch the phone back on and insert a SIM card to check that it is recognised. Also test calls, mobile data and network stability for a few minutes. If the problem persists, check the position of the card and the condition of the contacts before concluding.
