Description
The SIM card reader is the small holder that takes the SIM card and connects it to the device's motherboard. For the Redmi Note 9, it is what lets the phone recognise your card so you can make calls, send texts and use mobile data. When it is worn, damaged or dirty, the card is no longer detected, the network disappears or the phone keeps asking you to insert the card.
This compatible part is a third-party manufacture, offered as an alternative to replace the faulty reader of the current part. Before fitting, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if your model allows it, and work on a clean surface with an antistatic tool to protect the components. Never force the connectors and never puncture or bend the lithium battery.
After reassembly, insert your SIM card, restart the phone and check that the network shows correctly. Test a call and data access before fully closing the device. If the battery is swollen, stop using it.
