Description
The fingerprint sensor for the Realme 12 Pro is the sensor that recognises your finger to unlock the device and confirm certain payments or purchases. It is usually located under the home button or integrated into the screen, connected to the motherboard by a small flexible ribbon cable. When it stops responding, the device may reject your fingerprint, react slowly or no longer recognise your fingers. This compatible part replaces the faulty sensor of your Realme 12 Pro without changing the entire board.
Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable screwdriver and non-metallic tweezers. Avoid touching the contacts with your fingers, as static electricity can damage the sensor. Handle the ribbon cable gently, without folding it sharply or forcing the connectors.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and check that recognition works before fully closing the casing. Register your fingerprints again in the security settings. If the battery is swollen or damaged, do not use it and never puncture it.
