Description
The fingerprint sensor is the small sensor that recognises your finger to unlock the phone and confirm certain payments. On a Redmi Note 11, this part is connected to the motherboard by a thin flex cable. When it is faulty, unlocking no longer responds, recognition often fails or the sensor stays unresponsive. This compatible component replaces the faulty part and restores a more reliable reading of your fingerprint.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the flex cable, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface and discharge static electricity by touching a metal ground. Use non-metallic tools to lift the connectors, without forcing or bending the flex cable. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and never puncture it.
After reassembly, switch the device back on and check that the sensor is recognised. Register your fingerprint again in the security settings, then test unlocking several times with different finger angles. If the phone still detects nothing, recheck the position of the flex cable and the seating of the connectors before any further work.
