Description
The iPhone 5C SIM reader is the connector that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It is a small mechanical part located on the edge of the device. It provides the electrical contact between the card and the motherboard. When it is worn, dirty or damaged, the phone may no longer recognise the SIM card, display "No SIM card" or lose the network intermittently.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It lets you replace the current iPhone 5C SIM reader at a lower cost. It must be fitted with care, taking care to align it properly with its slot and not to force the contact pins.
Before you start, switch off the device and remove the battery if the model allows it, to avoid any short circuit. Use an antistatic tweezer and work on a clean surface. Once fitting is complete, insert a SIM card, restart and check network detection as well as reading of the card.
