Description
The OnePlus 3 rear camera lens is the transparent glass that protects the lens of the main camera on the back of the device. It lets light through to the photo sensor. When it is scratched, cracked or dirty, photos become blurry, show reflections or look slightly hazy, even though the sensor still works. This part is a compatible lens, made by a third party, offered to fix this problem at low cost.
Before replacing it, switch off the device and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Handle the lens carefully, preferably with a plastic tool, and avoid excessive heat so as not to damage the adhesive strip. Work in a clean, dust-free place, because a speck under the lens will then show on every photo. Protect yourself from static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
After fitting, switch on the device and take several photos by day and by night to check sharpness and the absence of reflections. Check that the frame around the lens sits flat and that nothing moves. If a battery was disconnected, let it charge normally before heavy use.
