Description
This set contains ten adhesive foam strips compatible with the iPhone 8 Plus. Depending on their location in the device, these foam strips act as a seal and fixing between the front panel and the chassis, or around certain internal components. They hold parts in place, limit vibrations and help restore a good seal after a repair.
This is a third-party part of compatible quality. Before fitting it, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, remove old adhesive residue with a lint-free cloth and avoid any trace of dust. Work on an anti-static surface and handle the parts carefully so as not to bend the neighbouring flex cables.
After fitting, check that each foam strip adheres properly and that the components close without forcing. Test the device's operation before putting it back into service. If the current battery is swollen, stop using the device and never puncture, pierce or bend the battery.
Tips
- Clean the surface to be bonded with a lint-free cloth before fitting
- Work on a clean, anti-static surface
- Do not force the closure: check the alignment of the components
- Disconnect the battery before handling the flex cables
- A swollen battery must no longer be used
