Description
This pack contains three IC chips, meaning integrated circuits, reference U6500 for iPhone 12. This component controls the LED flash of the device. When it fails, the flash may stop working, flicker or stay stuck on. This chip is a compatible part made by a third party. It lets you replace the faulty component without changing the whole board.
Before you start, switch the iPhone off completely and disconnect the battery. Work on a clean surface and wear an anti-static wrist strap to protect the components from static electricity. Moderate heat is enough for desoldering, and you should avoid bending or forcing the ribbon cables. After fitting, check the flash and camera work before closing the device.
If the battery is swollen, stop using it and never puncture it. A lithium battery must be handled with care and replaced or recycled according to the rules in force.
