Description
The microphone lets your Google Pixel 3a pick up your voice during calls, voice messages and recordings. When it is faulty, the people you speak to hear you poorly, muffled or not at all. This compatible part replaces your device's current microphone to restore a correct recording quality.
Before you start, switch off the smartphone completely and disconnect the battery before touching the flex cables. Work on a clean surface, with suitable tools and an anti-static wrist strap if possible. Lift the connectors carefully, without forcing them, and handle the thin ribbons by their edges. Check that no part is out of place before closing up.
After fitting, switch the device back on and make a test call, then record a short voice message to check the result. Keep the worn battery away and do not puncture or bend it. If it is swollen, stop using it.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Handle the flex cables with care and do not force the connectors
- Use an anti-static wrist strap to protect the components
- Test a call and a voice message after fitting
- Do not puncture or bend the battery; if it is swollen, stop
