Description
This compatible microphone replaces the built-in microphone of the iPad 6 (2018). It picks up your voice during video calls, audio recordings, dictation and when using voice assistants. When it is faulty, the person you are speaking to hears you poorly or not at all, or recordings sound muffled and crackly.
To fit it, prepare a small suitable screwdriver, plastic tweezers and a clean, well-lit work surface. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, as a live connection can damage the board. Work on a non-upholstered table and touch an earthed metal surface to discharge static electricity. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
After fitting, check the function with a voice recording and a test call. If the device heats up abnormally, switch it off immediately and reconnect only after checking the wiring.

- Use plastic tweezers to avoid scratching the chassis.
- Work on a non-upholstered surface, protected from static electricity.
