Description
This compatible microphone replaces the built-in microphone of the iPad 7 (2019). It picks up your voice during video calls, audio recordings, voice dictation and voice messages. When the person you are speaking to can no longer hear you, the sound is muffled or a crackling noise appears, the microphone is often the cause, although the fault can also come from a flex cable or a software setting.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and disconnect the battery before touching any flex cables. Work on a clean surface and use suitable tools. Avoid excessive heat and discharge static electricity from your body by touching a metal surface. Never drill, bend or crush the lithium battery.
After fitting, check the microphone by making a video call or recording a short voice note. Also make sure the flex cable is properly clipped in and that the casing closes without force.
