Description
This replacement microphone compatible with iPad 9 (2021) restores voice capture for calls, video recordings and dictation. When it is faulty, the person you are speaking to may not hear you, your voice sounds muffled, or there is no sound in apps. This part lets you replace the failing component without changing the whole tablet.
Before you start, switch off the iPad, unplug the charging cable and work on a clean surface with a suitable plastic opening tool. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables and avoid static electricity by earthing yourself. Never puncture, bend or force the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using it and do not try to dismantle it.
After fitting, check the microphone by recording a short voice message and then making a test call. Then reconnect the battery and check that the tablet switches on properly. If the current part showed signs of heat or impact, also examine the ribbon cable that links it to the board before closing the device.
