This compatible microphone replaces the built-in microphone of the iPad Mini 2 (2013). It picks up your voice during video calls, audio recordings, voice messages and dictated commands. When it fails, the person you are speaking to hears you poorly, muffled or not at all, and recordings are inaudible.
This part is manufactured by a third party and offered as a compatible version. It is designed to fit the model indicated, but there may be slight differences in appearance or fixing compared with the current part. Before fitting, switch off the tablet and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit, then work on a clean surface with suitable tools. Pay attention to static electricity, as it can damage electronic components, and handle the ribbon cables with care.
After replacement, check operation by testing a voice recording and a video call, then check the sound quality. If the tablet heats up abnormally or the battery appears swollen, stop immediately and no longer use the device.
