Description
The microphone is the component that picks up your voice during calls, video recordings and voice messages. On the iPad Mini 7 (2024), it is usually located near the top edge of the device. When it weakens or stops working, your contacts hear you poorly, or not at all, and recordings become unusable.
This compatible part replaces the faulty microphone. It is manufactured by a third party and is intended for home repair use. Before you start, switch the tablet off completely, then disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid bending or forcing the fragile connectors.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the microphone with a voice recording app and a video call. Also check that the old part has not left any residue or debris in the casing. If the battery is swollen or shows any deformation, stop using it and do not attempt to puncture or bend it.
