Description
This compatible microphone replaces the faulty microphone of a Google Pixel 3 XL. It picks up your voice during calls, voice messages and recordings. If your caller hears you poorly, the sound crackles, or they can no longer hear you at all, the current part is often the cause. This component is a compatible module made by a third party, not a part supplied by Google.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable tool and protection against static electricity. Never force ribbon cables or fragile connectors. A lithium battery must not be punctured, bent or heated: if it is swollen, do not try to reuse it.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test a call, a voice message and an audio recording. If the phone was opened, let it recharge through several full cycles to check that the assembly is stable. If the sound remains poor, first check that the ribbon cable is properly connected.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work
- Protect the part from static electricity while handling it
- Do not force ribbon cables and fragile connectors
- Test calls, voice messages and recordings after fitting
- A swollen battery must no longer be used
Fitting
