Description
This compatible replacement microphone fits the Google Pixel 4. It picks up your voice during calls, voice messages and recordings. When it is faulty, the person you are speaking to hears you poorly or not at all, and voice recognition may stop working.
Before you start, switch off the phone completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, use a plastic opening tool to avoid scratches, and protect the device from static electricity. Note the exact position of the old microphone and the position of each connector before removing the current part.
Once the fitting is complete, check that it works before closing the housing fully: make a test call, record a voice message and check reception. Avoid excessive heat during the repair, and never puncture or bend the lithium battery.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before starting work
- Protect the device from static electricity during fitting
- Note the position of the connectors before removing the current part
- Test calls and recordings before closing the housing
