Description
This microphone is a compatible spare part for the Tab A (2016). It picks up your voice during calls, voice messages, recordings and voice commands. If your tablet no longer transmits your voice or the sound is muffled, the current microphone is often the cause. This replacement restores proper audio capture for these everyday uses.
Before you begin, switch off the tablet and unplug the charger. Work on a clean surface, in a well-lit area, with a plastic spudger and suitable small tools. If you need to access the ribbon cable, disconnect the battery before any handling to avoid a short circuit. Protect your components from static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface from time to time.
Once the microphone is fitted and the tablet closed again, switch the device back on and test voice recording as well as a call. If the battery has been repaired or disconnected, charge it fully several times before intensive use. If you notice the battery swelling, stop using the device straight away.
