Description
This microphone is a part compatible with the Velvet smartphone. It picks up your voice during calls, voice messages and recordings. A faulty microphone often shows up as a caller who cannot hear you or hears you poorly, or as muffled recordings.
Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface with suitable tools, and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Never force the connectors, as they are fragile.
After fitting, check the microphone with a test call and a voice recording. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not puncture or bend it. Moderate heat is enough during the replacement, and a careful check of each connector avoids many mistakes.
