Description
The microphone is the component that picks up your voice during calls, voice messages and recordings. When it is faulty, your caller hears you poorly, or not at all. This part, compatible with the Sony Xperia M4, lets you replace the faulty microphone in your device.
Before you start, switch off the smartphone completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable tool and, if possible, an anti-static wrist strap to protect the electronic components. If your device has a lithium battery, do not puncture or bend it. A swollen battery must no longer be used. Also remember to disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables.
Once assembly is complete, check the function by making a test call and recording a short voice message. Also check the speaker and the volume setting. If the battery is replaced at the same time, carry out several full charge cycles so that it can regain stable operation.
